“A brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers following his every command.”
This television crime/drama series is now back on our screens for a second series. ‘A year after Joe’s death, a multi murder in the metro subways of New York triggers a new beginning for his ‘cult’ which is more organized and more vicious than ever.’ This series kicks off with episode one ‘Resurrection’ which I watched this morning (I recorded it on Sky because I couldn’t bear watching it at night, way too scary) after being left on such a cliff-hanger with Claire and Ryan being attacked and once you find out what happens, then it is a year later, the anniversary of Carroll’s death and it seems the following is going to start again.
I cannot wait for this series to get going, the first episode of the second series does not disappoint. The series welcomes some old and some new characters including; Ryan Hardy (played by Kevin Bacon), Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea), Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore), Emma Hill (Valorie Curry), Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) and Luke (Sam Underwood), Max Hardy (Jessica Stroup), Mandy Lang (Tiffany Boone), Lily Gray (Connie Nelson), Agent Phillips (James McDaniel), Judy (Carrie Preston), Agent Gina Mendez (Valerie Cruz), Carlos (J.D. Williams), Hannah (Susan Heyward)… and that is just naming a selection of the first episode – there will defiantly be more to come!
Series Two is made up by eight episodes and if series one was anything to go by it is going to be an explosive series ahead of us! I will be posting a review at the end of this series when it finishes which will probably be around the middle to the end of March & I cannot wait to write the next post about ‘The Following’ because I know it is going to be exciting.
