#40 Silver Lingings Playbook.

I have just watched the silver linings playbook it is such a good film. It has been on my list for films to watch since I heard about and it came out in the cinema. I do feel a little ashamed that it has taken me a whole year to watch this film but it was defiantly worth the wait.

This film was such a success and I can understand why, it is pure brilliant.

This film is based around a man called Pat (played by Bradley Cooper) who finds out over an incident with his wife Nikki (played by Brea Bee) that he is Bipolar. This incident was Pat finding Nikki having sex with a fellow colleague of theirs at the school, the history teacher that has ten-year. So because of this incident he decides to act in a bad manner and get’s very angry and because of his actions he either has a jail sentence or have an 8 month stint in a psychiatric ward. Now he is better he finds himself back with his mother Dolores (played by Jacki Weaver) and father Pat Sr (played by Robert De Niro), who aren’t exactly perfect his father has definite OCD tendencies. Then he meets Tiffany (played  by Jennifer Laurence) who lost her husband and is struggling with life as well and after spending a lot of time together and a lots of different things happening, they fall in love together which is just perfect.

When you look on Imdb the story plot reads: After a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.

This film is just pure brilliant, it has an amazing cast, a lovely touching story and relates to some very import mental issues and it shows what goes on in these sort of situations which I think is so good. I love this film and I will defiantly recommend this film to anyone and will always watch it again.

I did some research after watching this film as I heard it had done pretty well in the award department, here are the awards it got nominated for and won: It received eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay; it became the first film since 1981 to be Oscar-nominated for the four acting categories and the first since 2004 to be nominated for the Big Five Oscars, with Lawrence winning the Academy Award for Best Actress. It also achieved four Golden globe Award nominations; three Bafta nominations, with Russell winning for Best Adapted Screenplay; four Screen Actors Guild nominations; and five Independent Spirit Award nominations, winning in four categories including Best Film. So as you can see it did pretty well and well it should have done and did.

This film for me is pure beauty, it is beautiful.
