Groundhog Day came out in 1993 and it has taken me 20 years to watch it. I was sick a couple of weeks ago so decided to dive into my bucket list and I came across ‘Groundhog Day’, so I decided to watch it. I already knew a little bit of the story line so was interested to see what it was all about, what I didn’t know was that their was a lot of romance in it! That bit is what made me love the film that little bit more.

Starring Bill Murray and Adie MacDowell, (Bill) plays Phil a miserably weather man who has to go with his producer Rita (Adie) to film the groundhog day which is all about a beaver telling the town if there is a big storm headed to their town. Phil thinks this is completely absurd, not everyone agrees. So the beaver speaks, he says a storm! The storm comes and they get stranded for a night… The next day Phil wakes up and it is Groundhog Day again, over and over again he wakes up to the same day and as this continues he starts to realise what kind of person he has become and how a romance with Rita has blossomed, in the end he shows her what is happening and well I won’t say anymore, don’t want to give the film away but you get the story plot idea…

I was very surprised by this film I found it great and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It defiantly is worth a watch, it’s a classic after all, they are the best. So get your hands on a copy, I watched it on Sky if you wanted to know… Defiantly worth a watch on a rainy day, which seems like that is the way the weather is going right now.
